" prime numbers are what is left when you have taken all of the patterns away. I think prime numbers are like life. They are very logical but you could never workout the rules, even if you spent all your time thinking about them." ( Haddon 12)

Rules are said in the quote to be what is left when the pattern is taken away. But what is the pattern? Is it a prime number? If the pattern is unknown how is a prime number then described? Do these "rules" have limits?
How can Christopher even say that he knows how to find prime numbers when his rules would be based on what he does and doesn't like? He likes red but not yellow, his food cannot touch each other. When someone tells him not to do something he needs it descided in full detail. If he needs things described to an extent, can he describe his "rules" to others in a great extent? The prime number rule is not set just for Christopher and it can't be set differently for everyone.
Honestly, I think that Christopher even going into detail about the rules is ridiculous. Rules are already made. When something has already been her for a long time changing the "rules" would make things more confusing. Christopher needs to calm down and realize that things that he does or doesn't like in the world, it's going to change just for himself.
